Tofu has roughly 1-2 grams of carbs per ounce. If you’re having trouble getting enough protein, we recommend buying a higher-protein variety such as the Wildwood brand. Tempeh is slightly higher-carb.

If it takes you 3 days to get back into ketosis after being knocked out , then you’re essentially wasting over half your time by having a cheat day once a week. If you need it to get through your week, that’s another thing entirely. It took me two weeks to get over my carb cravings, some people it takes them a month, some it takes two months.

Only supplement I needed to add was vitamin D which the majority of meat and non meaters eat. Could any of you flesh eating people go inside a slaughterhouse and watch animals being beat and slaughtered while screaming…yes that is what happens in slaughterhouses. The cow don’t care if they were humanely raised if they are going to thr same slaughterhouse. Would you eat cats or dogs!??

    I was doing vegan keto eating tofu and nuts and veggie, avocado mostly. But I got shingles recently and I have been getting it pretty often. (Every few month for past few years when I’m weak due to low immune system) It seems like tofu and nuts both are bad for shingles cuz of lysine and arginine balance. So past 2 weeks i just back to regular keto with animal product. Then my breast sensitivity from pms came back which I didn’t notice much when i am on vegan keto. I am kinda lost don’t know what to eat. I prefer keep doing keto cuz it helps my mental disorder.

    I hope no one’s annoyed by my post when I could just look through the sub, but just know that it’s really, really easy for me to fail at this and I’m looking for every little thing I could do to make it easier.
    What this means is that neither diet is superior for everyone, however, by borrowing principles from the ketogenic diet and the vegetarian diet we can formulate an eating plan that is healthier for humans, animals, and the environment. In other words, we can get the benefits of the vegetarian diet and ketogenic diet in one diet — the vegetarian ketogenic diet.

    Vegans have long known that they can’t get all the amino acids they need from one source of plant protein, so they make an effort to eat a diverse selection of them and often combine foods in the same meal to get a complimentary assortment of aminos. You don’t need to do this at every meal—your body can hold on to the aminos from one food a few hours until you eat another food with aminos that complement them and form a complete protein. But don’t get in the habit of basing your meals around only tofu or only hemp. Eat as broad a menu as you can to ensure the richest nutritional intake you can.
