    I personally don’t think this type of diet makes any sense and can’t see how eating so much fat could possibly be good for you. Just my 2 cents
    And, each has 10 ingredients or less, because I’m on a mission to show you that keto and low carb recipes don’t have to be difficult, time consuming, or taste like “diet food”. I love sharing just how delicious and easy keto/low carb can be!
    Restrict your carbohydrates: Because you can’t reach ketosis when your body still has a supply of glucose to burn you need to restrict your net carb intake to 20g or less than a day.

    The key to a successful ketogenic diet is to consume around 20 grams of net carbohydrates a day, and sufficient fat and protein to keep you full and maintain muscle mass, so keep that in mind when looking at serving sizes and amounts that you actually eat through the day.
    I have enough carbs in a day for all my needs. Just eating proteins alone raise the insuline level, enough for muscles preservation. And I top it with vegetables. I have more than enough. I just to be clear, I don’t think the human body is dumb enough to burn a lot of muscles when you have 100 pounds of stored fat. Why the body don’t store proteins, if it prefers that? Modern nutrition take our body – and us – for fools!

    I don’t want to buy a ketone meter, is there some way to tell if I’m in ketosis? A meter is the best way to tell if you really are in ketosis and levels don’t need to be tested frequently once the learning curve of how to eat and maintain ketosis levels off. But there are indicators of being in ketosis: dry mouth and increased thirst, increased urination, urine that smells different, keto breath (this is the ketone body acetone, the breath smells “sweet” or like nail polish remover), reduced hunger, increased energy, clearer thinking. If you get blood tests that include measuring carbon dioxide or free fatty acid, the carbon dioxide will measure on the low end of the range out of the “normal” range, and free fatty acid will measure high, also likely out of the “normal” range.
    Many people may look at my side-by-side before and after pics and think, “She was fit before and she looks the same now.” (Isn’t it strange how differently other people see you versus how you see yourself?) But eating and exercise should always be about more than the aesthetics. How do your diet and fitness habits make you feel? Food is fuel (and recovery) for the activities you like to do most. If eating well means you gain some perspective, then ending up with a better butt is just icing on the cake. BTW, I can have cake now.
