My Low Carb Food List On Atkins Induction!

These are my staple foods on Atkins induction. This is NOT the entire atkins induction list, just the staple foods I get when on induction.

  • Can you eat flax seeds on induction?

  • Yes, you sure can!

  • Cut out the processed foods and the chemicals they contain. Only eat whole foods.

  • Tomatoes and Onions are listed on the Atkins induction food list. Please see "The New Atkins For A New You"

  • Check out the video for the taco shells, you will love it 🙂

  • i do lchf is simular to atkins, is 5g per 100g carbs i follow, i lost 30 lbs so far weight without exercising. good luck

  • I would keep tomatoes to a minimum. Atkins isn't as effective as full blown ketosis with about 60% good fat, 30% protein, and not more than 10% carb. Also, I wouldn't recommend Atkins (ketosis) as a long term diet plan… it can be dangerous. I would do it one month on, one month off. I would rely primarily on sweating like a pig doing cardio/weight training! LOVE YOUR RECIPES!

  • What I see, is too much cheese and less veggies, than you really need…

  • u got quite lota processed food on your list—- is it ok? cuz i been with just plain meat + veggies no packages. and salt pepper.

  • but the ranch contain carbs .YOu shouldn't eat it , replace it with blue cheese dressing its not as yummy as ranch but it's good

  • It's not like you can have ZERO carbs. Some are okay.

  • can't have rice on atkins. I doubt it has low enough carbs >~>

  • Yes, it is listed. I think a lot of people think that it's not listed but it is. I love tomatoes and could not live without them.

  • Looks like my weekly shopping list as well!!! I LOVE cauliflower rice!!  Cauliflower is one of the most versatile vegetables I know of! It's great making a thick soup base without any carbs!! 

  • oh dear- that dressing is made with partially hydrogenated oil which is to be avoded at ALL costs. Please replace with blue cheese dressing or make your own with olive oil, vinegar and herbs.

  • I had noooo idea we could use yogurt during induction. But, after reading the book "eat fat get thin" by Barry Groves I decided yogurt and kefir in moderation won't hurt since he actually allows 1 fruit/day and allows milk in tea.  I think Dr. Atkins must  have decided to be a little more strict so as to manage carb intake between 20g to 100g per day.  My carb intake is between 18% 21% of my daily calories and this includes 1 teaspoon of dried cranberries and 1 tablespoon of cacao nibs twice daily with a serving of Kefir.

    I think if one has over eaten carbs then one can always do HiiT to burn off all that glycogen. Best time to eat (for me) low sugar treats is right after my workout.  Been doing well so far.

  • I love this diet, this diet is tasty and filling, I always feel GREAT on this diet too…and yet I cannot stay on it long term….and I've noticed that I don't lose on it anymore lol probably my age…so good luck to ya baby cakes!! I laffed my butt off at kosher dell peckers lol….I call dr. pepper dr. pecker all the time…sometimes by mistake…LOL.

  • Heavy cream, cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, mozzarella cheese, ranch dressing, provolone cheese, Parmesan cheese, string cheese….

    If you are eating those foods you will never truly be healthy.  Period.

  • this is just what you like, not what everyone can have for induction right?  Just checking heh.  Also, ::hugs:: it sounds like you have been through induction quite a few times, and i know it is harder each time, I dont see a WHOLE lot of fat in there.. i would like to invite you to join us on, whether you are diabetic or not, for great recipes and support from others who are living the low carb lifestyle with success.  It has been a long time since i specifically did atkins so i dont remember what the fat ratio is, but weve found that fat is the most crucial part of staying and THRIVING on a low carb diet, so if you arent eating at least 75 percent of your calories as fat, i would suggest you start.  Coconut oil is a great start. 🙂 ::hugs again::

  • Excellent choices!  Cheese won't hurt you unless you are lactose intolerant.  I'm down 10 lbs on induction and only 40 to go!

  • You really need to start a revolution in the USA over what they sell you as cheese – its carb filled garbage. Here in the UK mature cheddar cheese has 0.1g of carbs per 100g – thats just 1g of carbs per kilo (2.2lbs)

  • Sugar is listed as an ingredient in the Ranch dressing. Its not sugar free. If I have any sugar, induction wont work for me. Induction also says no nuts no seeds. Assuming flax too?

  • I try to reintroduce carbs after 3 years without them but I keep getting serious depression, anxiety and insomnia everytime I try to get on them. Why on earth do I have problem digesting carbs now?? I'm desperate for a solution. Thanks!
