  • dude people don't eat 400 to 500 grams of carbs a day are you nuts most people eat about 100 to 200 grams jay cutler might eat those numbers but not the average person

  • Id say an average day to day 180 pound person would eat 200 grams + whatever sugar is consumed.. lets say another 150 (lets face it sugar is almost in everything.. remember I said "average.. person"… so the count is up to 330 just there.

    100, 150, or 200 (ranges you indicated) grams a day for a 180 pound man is only running at ~.6,.85,1.2 carbs per body pound respectively; these ranges (especially the 1st 2)are what people that are on a strict cutting diet would be on. just my thoughts Boogey

  • Hey Jimmy! Great video! I am a 240 lb., 45 year old male diagnosed with metabolic syndrome (diabetes, insulin resistance, high BP, high cholesterol, high triglycerides) about 10 years ago when I was 280 lbs., but I  lost 40 lbs. a few years ago using a low carb/IF diet with 90 minutes of cardio 5 days a week. 

    I am a meso/endomorph and have no problem putting muscle on, but my testosterone is low and I am currently on 1cc/200mg of Cypinate every 3 weeks to make up for it. 

    At 27 I was working out hard, 200lbs at 8% body fat and would like to get there again, but I am concerned since my current body fat is 32% and test levels are low. However, I have been back in the gym the last month doing intense weight training 4 times per week (12-15 sets per body part) hitting the big compound movements and trying to get my strength and size back and it is coming back pretty quickly. 

    Having said that…I am on an extreme low carb diet with 47% protein, 47% fat, 6% carbs; about 1730 to 1950 calories per day spread out over 6-7 meals. Protein sources consist of Whey post workout along with eggs, chicken breast, cheese and tuna the rest of the day. My whey shake consists of 60 grams whey with 30 grams pure Isolate; 1 tbsp., flax oil and 1 tbsp. EVOO along with a scoop of creatine monohydrate. I take a Costco multi, vitamin D3 and one Costco 1000 mg fish oil soft gels in the morning and at night. 

    I haven’t seen any scale weight decrease, but the muscle gain is relatively obvious, but not like when I was younger.:(
    Moreover, I have started incorporating ½ hour to 45 min cardio on those 4 workout days as well to try and burn the fat.  I’m pretty sure from watching your other videos you would tell me my carbs are way to low! LOL! 

    Anyway….great video! I am glad to know I can still gain muscle on my diet! 
