Does High Carb Low Fat Veganism Work?

This took me a very long time to consider making and uploading but I did! Judy did a wonderful job at her video and I want to help spread the message that Fats are not so evil after all. Leave your comments and insights down below, and make a video on it to if you want!! These are just my thoughts and opinions of what I personally have found to work for me. Again, in no way am I trying to offend anybody on this lifestyle. Everyone has their own opinion! 🙂

  • Why am I gaining weight on HCLF? I eat around 2500 calories and I feel thicker everyday 🙁

  • Yes! I love this Madison! Adding a bit more fat into my diet as helped me feel more satiated… I'm not binging out on sugary calorie-dense foods like I use to when I was eating little to no fat. And I agree with having more ideas and wanting to get out and do stuff!

  • AGREE! I have been HCLF raw vegan for the last 4 years and I had some fogy brain experience. Now when I add some rapeseed oil to my salad I feel so much better! I'm still pretty low on fat consumption, but I get it enough to make me feel better. One downside: when I run, my heart starts to ache. Normally I run around 5k every day and 30k on Sunday, but now my heart doesn't feel very good after 5k. Also want to mention that my daughter eats only fruits for the last 5 years and she feels prefect. So, probably it is only adults who needs this type of supplementation.

  • Are you sure your fats just weren't too low? From what I understand, HCLF vegan means 80% carbs, 10% protein and 10% fat. Adding some nuts or avocado to your meal still works in a HCLF vegan diet.

  • hclf doesnt mean no fat, it means less fat than carbs but still fat. maybe u weren't eating enough fats?

  • I agree! After I added avocados, almonds, walnuts, almond butter, tahini back into my diet, I feel SO good! my skin's glowing, my acne went away, my hair is growing so long and strong, I feel strong mentally. 🙂 I think the reason why I was so scared of fats was because in the back of my head "The fat you eat is the fat you wear" kept repeating itself. Bullshit. Plant fats are so so good for you. 🙂 I love you xo

  • this video confused me so much. im in a bad place with my food intake. i was about to start the HCLF diet tommorrow and now i have no idea because you are saying to do the opposite.

  • I came across your video recently. I understand where your coming from as I too have experimented with various diets and variations. This balanced vegan route is amazing and makes a lot of sense. I am happy you have found your way.
