  • Yes it would, but woman need to eat around half the carbs a man would. Everything as far as remaining in an anabolic state during a low carb state would also apply.

But if you're looking for significant fat loss as your initial primary focus, going very low carb with a slight cal deficit is your best option (with a weekly high carb re-feed). Once your body fat is in the range that you like, adding carbs back in as this video suggests is correct.

  • I agree, but the title is not "Can you lose fat while not eating carbs" the title is "Can you build muscle while eating carbs."

  • I understand the logic of this. It is true that you need carbs for the energy to workout and eventually build muscle, but since muscles grow in response to the stimulus they get from training (I believe it is around 3-4 days that muscle will grow after a workout), wouldn't you need those carbs on off days as well for procuring energy to your body in order to build muscle?

  • Maybe u can build muscle without carbs even if it can be done I love carbs I did ketogeinses diete where I didn't eat carbs I felt like shit I couldn't even left shit after week of non carbs then I switch to carbs I started seeing better energy more strength and I love the way. I fell in gym with my glygongne full with carbs I cut p my all fat intake to very little I eat high carbs and protein and some fat I did better I gain muscle and lost fat by playing with my calories but that's just me 😙nothing like my carbs and they delisiose and I eat almost 350 gram a day and drop down to 6 %body fat while I'm still eating 2500 calories and mostly carbs but this is juts my self my way it's not the only way peace

  • No…you don't need carbs. The myth if insulin spikes that shuttle " nutrients" to muscles is a myth. You're body, anytime you eat, produces insulin spikes…end of story. Carbs provide fuel, and if not used..eventually get stored as fat….end of story. High fat, High protein diet= Gains…like our ancestors before we cultivated and ate carbs..
