Atkins Diet – Day 60 – Atkins Diet Review

This is my review of the Atkins Low Carb Diet after 60 days and completing all four phases

  • You look great! Good job.

  • Please do not follow this diet. It will without a doubt affect your health. Look guys, the diet question was answered a long time ago: eat a plant based diet centered around starches (potatoes, rice, sweet potatoes, corn) with some beans and veggies. Eat to feel full! Enjoy some fresh fruit for dessert. Try this for 1 month, and watch your blood pressure, cholesterol and body weight drop. Take care of your heart! You need it for a long time.

  • Im loosing so much weight on this damn thing. I'm not even phased by it at all. I basically make lots of chops, chicken, green beans with butter, and I make egg casseroles. If you have the food ready, youll be good to go. I have to disagree with you about the fat, though. The fat is what you WANT. If you don't get enough fat, your going to be hungry. You don't want to be hungry, do you? Remember, it's not the fat that kills people, it's the sugar. Fat is good πŸ™‚

  • How much weight have you lost and how are you keeping it off ?

  • 13% to 9% is a big deal, since at 15% it becomes really difficult to lose more fat.

  • Atkins is not a simple approach. If you don't like to cook and analyze everything you are eating it will be very hard if not impossible. The upside is, if you are detail-oriented, you will never be hungry and you will get to eat a lot of really tasty food. You will also have a lot more energy if you currently afflicted with metabolic syndrome and hyperinsulinism.

  • The Atkins lifestyle is very easy if you learn how to be creative with meals, learn to use seasoning, learn to use low carb substitutes, etc. You won't feel like you're "missing" things you once enjoyed if you learn how to prepare those items the low carb way. You shouldn't feel "hungry, deprived, or guilty" in the Atkins lifestyle. Notice I chose the word "lifestyle" vs. "diet", because it IS a "lifestyle" and you can lose weight and also keep that weight off by simply changing your approach in how you cook, eat, etc. I've lost pound after pound after pound on Atkins; it works, and it will make you healthy. Your blood pressure will surely drop, your cholesterol levels will fall, your blood sugar levels will normalize….all good things !!!
